Toad of Toad Hall brought to life by Thame Players -
THAME PLAYERS presents - TOAD OF TOAD HALL by A A Milne; based on Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows. THE PLAYERS THEATRE, Nelson Street, Thame,
between Friday, December 04, to Sunday, December 13, 2009.
Performance times: Friday 4th, Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December. at 7.45pm;
Saturday 5th and 12th, Sunday 6th and 13th at 2pm and 5.30pm.
Director, Colleen Tudway, commented, "The production is a faithful interpretation of A A Milne’s brilliant adaptation using the original music score. All the colour and mayhem of Toad’s exploits on the riverbank can be seen on the stage. His obsession with motor cars, his crashes, his trial and conviction, the conniving of the weasels and ferrets to see his comeuppance and the stalwart efforts of his friends, Badger, Ratty and Mole to make him see sense."
The production is aimed at everyone from 5 to 85 years old. Colour, spectacle, humour and pathos in
equal measure ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
The rush for the last remaining few tickets is now on. Tickets cost £8 and £7 with £1 off for concessions, and are now on sale at Tickets Anywhere, Greyhound Walk, Thame, telephone 01844 217228.
