26/04/12...Fashion show triumph for Thame CAB -

IT was all about style, glamour and the shades of jewels at a fashion show in Thame this week, in support of the valuable work of the town's Citizens Advice Bureau.

The organisers, The Friends of Thame and District CAB, have hailed the show a tremendous success.

"The town and its businesses rallied round and they were very generous", said Janet Styles, a trustee of the voluntary organisation, "and we would like to thank everyone in the town who supported us in this enterprise." A final figure for the sum raised has yet to be calculated but Mrs Styles estimated that it would be at least £1400.

The Spread Eagle provided the Eden Suite as the venue for the packed show, which was attended by 130 people.

The local business who took part in the show on Thursday (19/04), were:
Country Casuals /Viyella
Freerange
Elegance
Ricochet
The Boutique at Salon 7 - Haddenham
Katy Dyer - Colour Me Beautiful

In a commentary on the Show, Katy Dyer, of Colour Me beautiful said: "CC/Viyella showcased the seasons must-have summer stripes with great accessories and a hint of the oh-so-patriotic red, white and blue which is set to be a hit in the coming months. Occasionwear with subtle shades and brights with print, perfect for a summer’s afternoon.

"Flowing fabrics and soft summer colour were superb companions at Freerange with accents of coral and aqua both great for early summer looks. Abstract print featuring this season’s celebration of nature and again the key trend of red, white and blue.

"With Elegance came lovely lace and pretty frills and a hint of drama – never short of glamour. Swimwear in fantastic pattern and shapes – essential for the holiday wardrobe.

"Ricochet’s collections of wonderful ethnic pattern with fabulous jewellery meant there was something for everyone’s summer wardrobe with on-trend spots and stripes also featuring in all shades of blue and green. Superb abstract print to liven up your summer wardrobe.
Flowing fabrics mixing soft and light colours in dresses from The Boutique at Salon 7. Beach brights and subtle deep shades followed up by evening glamour with all lengths of gown in stunning jewel shades of amethyst, emerald, sapphire and peridot."
