09/06/12....Thame Boys, Youth & Girls Festival of Football 2012 -

MEADOW View Park, the home of Thame United, will again play host to the Thame Youth Festival of Football, on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10.

This year’s tournament has been sponsored by ASM who are the main stadium and Thame United sponsors so General Manager, Frank Thompson, was delighted for the support from it’s major sponsor. Along with the new Apprenticeship Academy that the club has launched, ASM have once again demonstrated their support to the community and our Club.

With a record 190 teams from all over the Home Counties entering the event it looks like this will be even bigger and better and will give a great opportunity for local sides to pit their skills against oponents they do not normally meet or play against.

The matches get underway from 9.30am on the Saturday morning (09/06), and will continue throughout the
weekend. There are in fact over 550 matches being played by over 1,500 players from Under seven to
Under 14s, all marshalled by a great team of referees and officials. There will be a range of activities
available at the site with an all-day BBQ, Drinks & Ice Creams, Giant Inflatable Football Bouncy Castle, Tombola, Football Shooting Gallery and of course all of the fantastic facilities within the main
clubhouse building which include two fully licensed bars. The weekend will coincied with the start of Euro 2012, with some exciting fixtures on both days.

Admission to the event is just £2 for Adults, AND CAR PARKING IS FREE. So come on down and take in the action for what is all set to be a fantastic tournament.
