17/09/12....Drivers guilty of drink-driving -

TWO local drivers have been banned from driving by Oxford Magistrates for drink-driving.

Mark Hawthorne, 44, of Youens Drive, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Stratton Way, Abingdon, on May 31. He had 87 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. He was fined £110, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs. He was banned from driving for three years.

Martin Bloomfield, aged 21, of Park View, Sydenham, Chinnor, admitted drink-driving in Station Road, Chinnor, on April 22. Had 209 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. He was given 100 hours of unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs. He was banned from driving for two years.
